Breaking new ground at the "Saló de l'Ensenyament" 2014: #nosomosotraescuela (#weareourschool)

As in previous editions, we will have a stand in the University Studies area, this time under the creative direction of Joao Alves and his studio Somos.

But the novelty in this Saló 2014 is that we will celebrate, in the Universe Square, a different and groundbreaking activity that aims to convey the essence and philosophy of the school, with the aim of finding out the level of conviction of the selection of studies of future students. For this purpose, we will count on the study Domestic Data Streamers which will carry out a data visualization based on the type of studies that respondents want to do.

Participants will have to rate from 1 to 10 the level of conviction in the studies they choose for their future and select 5 adjectives that define them from a list of 15, 4 of which correspond to the profile of Idep Barcelona students: different, innovative, rebellious and creative.

From this data, the Domestic team will create a real-time data facility using test tubes that will be filled with an orange liquid if the data fits Idep's profile, and with a black liquid if the responses deviate from the attributes assigned to the school. The amount of liquid will be conditioned by the level of conviction (from 1 to 10).

Thus, Idep Barcelona puts the level of conviction of these young people in the spotlight to find out to what level they can be influenced by their friends, parents or teachers. A combination of statistics, research, experiment and creation in real time of a work of art, with a strong final result, which visually communicates all of this at the same time.
