With the auditorium of the Torre Balldovina Museum completely full -following the COVID security protocol- has been presented this afternoon the first act of homage, in the centenary of his birth, to Joan Vicente Castells, who was the director and architect of the Provisional Museum of Santa Coloma, base of the current Torre Balldovina Museum.
This act has been a recognition to his figure and at the same time the presentation of the exhibition "Joan Vicente Castells, l'home de la cartera" as well as of the conferences that will be pronounced on the occasion of the centenary.
The event was attended by Magda Clavell, historian, on behalf of the Museum; the mayoress of Santa Coloma, Nuria Parlon; Joan Devis, doctor in Plant Biology and collaborator of Joan Vicente and Juanjo Gallardo, professor of History.
Two of the closest collaborators of the paleobotanist and archaeologist Joan Vicente Castells (1921-2010) - his daughter, Roser Vicente Vila, president of the Centre de la Natura del Barcelonès-Nord, and the doctor in Plant Biology, Joan Devis, vice-president of the Centre de la Natura del Barcelonès-Nord - accompany us in this video in a tour around the exhibition "Joan Vicente Castells, l'home de la cartera", inaugurated last April 16th and that will be exhibited at the Torre Balldovina Museum until July 3rd.
