The City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet commemorates with this exhibition the centenary of the death of Llorenç Serra Badosa (1866-1918), the mayor who promoted the modernization of the city when it was just a town of 1,500 inhabitants. He introduced improvements in services, infrastructure and facilities and promoted the construction of the first bridge over the Besòs River that connected the town with Barcelona.
