Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the inauguration of the Hospital de Bellvitge, on November 8, the presentation of the book Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. 50 anys.
Over 164 pages, the book covers the entire history of the hospital, in the changing political, social, economic and cultural context of these five decades. It includes more than 150 photographs from all periods, mostly from the hospital's extensive audiovisual collection.
The Fundació Pau i Solidaritat - CCOO Catalunya launches a new website www.agenda2030sindical.cat on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda from a trade union perspective. A well-structured and designed web and a very didactic graphic language, with the magnificent illustrations made by Andrea Gómez, the 17 SDGs are developed showing data that demonstrate the urgency to continue advancing in the achievement of the SDGs approved by the United Nations in 2015. The contents, which are extensively developed on the website, highlight the need for the contribution offered by the trade union vision.
The exhibition was presented in the Auditorium of the Torre Balldovina Museum with the intervention of the director Magda Clavell, the president of the CEP, Ferran López, and the mayoress of Sta Coloma de Gramenet, Núria Parlon:
"As every year, after the summer, we meet again in the Torre Balldovina Museum to inaugurate, as part of the Festival, a new exhibition about our city. This year it is an exhibition commemorating the seventy-fifth birthday of the Centro Excursionista Puigcastellar entitled "Dona'm corda!", which reveals its origins and its evolution until today. Give me rope to continue climbing mountains and crowning peaks; give me rope, too, to continue walking as a collective and prolong the life of this active entity that has completed three quarters of a century, seventy-five years full of history and transformation. Lots of rope!"

With the auditorium of the Torre Balldovina Museum completely full -following the COVID security protocol- has been presented this afternoon the first act of homage, in the centenary of his birth, to Joan Vicente Castells, who was the director and architect of the Provisional Museum of Santa Coloma, base of the current Torre Balldovina Museum.
This act has been a recognition to his figure and at the same time the presentation of the exhibition "Joan Vicente Castells, l'home de la cartera" as well as of the conferences that will be pronounced on the occasion of the centenary.
The event was attended by Magda Clavell, historian, on behalf of the Museum; the mayoress of Santa Coloma, Nuria Parlon; Joan Devis, doctor in Plant Biology and collaborator of Joan Vicente and Juanjo Gallardo, professor of History.

The City Council of Santa Coloma de Gramenet commemorates with this exhibition the centenary of the death of Llorenç Serra Badosa (1866-1918), the mayor who promoted the modernization of the city when it was just a town of 1,500 inhabitants. Bellesguard is the most symbolic work of the Catalan genius, and the historical importance of the land where it is located deserves it. Gaudí built a medieval castle halfway between Art Nouveau and Gothic to pay homage to King Martí I l'Humà, the last king of the Catalan dynasty of the Casal de Barcelona, who lived in Bellesguard until his death in 1410.
The Guilera family has owned the estate for almost 70 years, and with the opening to the public on 18 September 2013, they hope to make Bellesguard a cultural space of reference in the city of Barcelona.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Mayor of Barcelona, Xavier Trias, together with the Minister of Culture, Ferran Mascarell, and the Minister of Enterprise and Employment, Felip Puig.
The Museu de la Música de Barcelona is in charge of the musical programme for the event.
